CASO:
Ron Flor de Caña es producido de manera sostenible del campo a la botella, siendo el único destilado en el mundo certificado como Carbono Neutral y Fair Trade. Ha sido premiado “Mejor Productor de Ron del Mundo” por la IWSC en Londres, “Mejor Destilería del Mundo” por la International Rum Conference en Madrid y ganador de los premios "Marca ética" y "Destilería sostenible" en los Spirits Business Awards 2021.
Para el diseño de la etiqueta y estuche de la edición limitada de Flor de Caña en 2023 para el mercado Mexicano, en el contexto de la festividad del Día de Muertos y que también fue distribuida en el mercado Centroamericano. Tomé en consideración la representación gráfica de la Catrina, figura central de la festividad e ícono de la cultura mexicana reconocido globalmente.
El Día de los Muertos, es la festividad mexicana que honra a los fallecidos los días 1 y 2 de noviembre con coloridos altares familiares que incluyen alimentos y representaciones.
THE CASE:
Flor de Caña Rum is sustainably produced from the field to the bottle, being the only distillate in the world certified as Carbon Neutral and Fair Trade. It has been awarded "Best Rum Producer in the World" by the IWSC in London, "Best Distillery in the World" by the International Rum Conference in Madrid and winner of the "Ethical Brand" and "Sustainable Distillery" awards at the Spirits Business Awards 2021.
For the design of the Flor de Caña limited edition label and case in 2023 for the Mexican market, in the context of the Day of the Dead festivity, which was also distributed in the Central American market. I took into consideration the graphic representation of the Catrina, the central figure of the holiday and a globally recognized icon of Mexican culture.
The Day of the Dead is the Mexican holiday that honors the deceased on November 1st and 2nd with colorful family altars that include food and representations.
